Hydrogen a likely end of season type Hydrogen is pleasing his connections but is not expected to be in action until towards the end of the season. Bought by David Redvers on behalf of Qatar Racing Limited, the Galileo colt cost 2.5million guineas. He was sent into training with Peter Chapple-Hyam, who trained his half-brother Authorized to win the Derby in 2007. "Hydrogen has been showing a huge amount of promise and I know that Pete absolutely loves him," Redvers told At The Races. "We're very excited to see how he develops but we're not expecting to see him run until the end of the season, so we'll keep our fingers crossed he gets there." Sprinter Pearl Secret is another that falls under the Qatar Racing banner and he is in training with David Barron in Yorkshire. He lost his unbeaten record on his fifth start in the Nunthorpe and was not seen again last term, but will reappear at the Guineas meeting in the Palace House Stakes on May 4. "He's definitely a horse we are hugely excited about and David Barron is likewise," said Redvers. "I imagine we'll see him in the Pearl Bloodstock-sponsored five-furlong race at Newmarket on Guineas weekend."
