The Tattersalls Musidora Stakes is set to feature a strong field for day one of York's Dante meeting, including 16 possible contenders.

Sir Michael Stoute's Oaks contender, Infinite Cosmos, a daughter of Sea The Stars, is among the market leaders. Infinite Cosmos recently delivered an impressive display at Newmarket on Guineas weekend, catapulting to second favourite for the Epsom Classic on June 2.

Andrew Balding's Sea Of Roses, who saw off Infinite Cosmos on debut at Doncaster, is among the opposition, alongside Juddmonte filly Bluestocking for Ralph Beckett, and Jack Channon's Gather Ye Rosebuds, a wide-margin Newbury maiden winner.

Fillies' Mile second and third place, Novakai and Bright Diamond, respectively, both representing Karl Burke, also add to the mix of a stellar field.

Richard Fahey's Midnight Mile, a winner of the Oh So Sharp Stakes, brings top-class two-year-old form to the table and has the potential to land a victory for local Yorkshire handlers.

Meanwhile, defending champion Highfield Princess, trained by John Quinn, is confirmed to take part in the 1895 Duke Of York Clipper Stakes. After winning this contest by nearly three lengths last season, Highfield Princess went on to win the Nunthorpe at York later in her campaign.

Others that could line up in the six-furlong event include Australian raider The Astrologist, who is being prepared for a Royal Ascot tilt following his narrow defeat in the Al Quoz Sprint, Roger Varian’s Dragon Symbol and Roger Teal’s Oxted who has not been seen since the summer of 2021.
