Ciaran Murphy plans to run the promising Soldante in a bumper at Down Royal on Tuesday.

The Soldier Of Fortune gelding was placed in two bumpers at Galway in October before failing to handle the very testing ground at Limerick over Christmas.

After saddling Stardayz to win at Dundalk on Friday evening, Murphy said: "We think the world of him and Limerick being the ground it was, not every horse handles it and he just didn't handle it.

"Barry O'Neill minded him that day and he is back in at Down Royal on Tuesday and the plan will be to run.

"I think soft ground is probably ideal for him. He's still only a young horse and we will be minding him this year.

"He'll be going hurdling next season. He might have a break and come back and go for a maiden hurdle at Galway, he seems to like Galway."

Dual-purpose trainer Murphy has seen two of his last four runners win at the time of writing.
