In-form Stephen Thorne has sights set on Galway Having saddled three winners from his last three runners, trainer Stephen Thorne has his string in excellent form ahead of next weeks Galway Festival. Following the win of Pink Oxalis at the Curragh on Sunday, Mayflower struck at Leopardstown on Thursday evening. Jack The Bachelor made it three-from-three when making all to score at Cork on Friday. Speaking after that latest win, Thorne gave the following update on his Ballybrit contenders: "I have Gleneagle Bay for the Ahonoora on the Sunday, Artful Approach will take his chance in the Rockshore Handicap on Thursday and Dance For Chester, who is a nice horse who has won twice recently, will run on the Friday in the 0-70. "We put away Dance For Chester for the meeting but he needs a cut in the ground. Artful Approach was a Galway winner last year so also has been targeted at the meeting. "Gleneagle Bay is due his Premier Handicap win and hopefully a stiff seven-furlongs will suit him well. "We run eight horses for the week but they are our three main bullets for the week." Regarding Thursday's debut juvenile Leopardstown winner Mayflower, he added "she is fresh and well and - if we still have her, we're thinking about running in the Ingabelle Stakes on Champions Weekend. We've been receiving calls from people looking to buy her, so we'll see." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes.
