Inspection at Gowran Thursday's meeting at Gowran Park, featuring the Ellen Construction Thyestes Handicap Chase, must pass a 7.30am precautionary inspection. However, course officials are hopeful the fixture will be given the go-ahead. Cliff Noone, Turf Club press officer, said: "The track is currently raceable, with the ground heavy, but there is just the threat of further overnight rain. "They are okay at the moment but they don't want to be caught out."
