Inspection at Punchestown

Punchestown have called a precautionary inspection at 8am ahead of Saturday's meeting.

Officials at the County Kildare venue are taking no chances in light of a troubling forecast.

Turf Club press officer Cliff Noone said: "The track is raceable - the ground ground is heavy - but there is an adverse forecast for later today and overnight.

"They've decided to be safe rather than sorry."

Punchestown are also scheduled to be in action on Sunday.
