Irancy bids to step up in Morgiana Hurdle Champion trainer Willie Mullins may be without leading hurdler State Man for the season but he is hopeful that one of last years leading novices Irancy might be capable of stepping up again this term. A Grade 1 winner at Punchestown on his final start last season, the seven-year-old represents the stable in the featured Morgiana Hurdle over that same course and distance on Saturday. Speaking to Dave Keena ahead of that race, Mullins said: "I was debating whether to go jumping fences with him or not but he's had his little troubles and, I think we'll keep him over hurdles for the time being. "He has got to step up maybe eight or 10 pound; there is no reason why he couldn't do that."
