Aidan O'Brien's Stone Age, sixth to Desert Crown in last month's Derby, lines up in the one million dollar Belmont Derby this evening (off at 10.12pm) with Ryan Moore in the plate.

The Galileo colt is drawn widest of all in a field of thirteen for the mile and a quarter contest on the turf track. Nations Pride, two places behind Stone Age at Epsom, goes for Charlie Appleby and Frankie Dettori with Royal Patronage, who failed to beat a rival in the Derby, taking his chance for Mark Johnston.

Just over an hour earlier, at 9.06pm, Concert Hall is the Ballydoyle representative in the Belmont Oaks Invitational. The daughter of Dubawi has been competitive at the highest level this term having been third in the Irish 1,000 Guineas, fourth in the Oaks and most recently fourth in the Pretty Polly Stakes which was run over the same ten furlong trip as tonight's 700,000 dollar event on turf.

Joseph O'Brien's Agartha, stepping up in trip after finishing two places behind Concert Hall in the Irish Guineas, is the mount of John Velazquez while Dettori is on With The Moonlight who bombed out in the Oaks last time but had a won a Listed contest at Newmarket on her previous start.
