Irish option for Ayaar Ayaar could go for Group One glory in Ireland following his smooth victory in Germany on Wednesday evening. Trainer Mick Channon is thinking of aiming his juvenile at the Goffs Vincent O'Brien Stakes at the Curragh on September 15 after his successful venture to Baden-Baden. The Rock Of Gibraltar colt took Group Three honours in the Belmondo Zukunfts-Rennen over seven furlongs and although he has now run seven times, Channon feels his charge is still progressing. "He's a real improver. We decided to take him racing and learn the game that way because he's that type who needed the experience to get him going," the West Ilsley trainer told www.mickchannon.tv. "He wasn't the sharpest mentally and I've had a million like him who I've waited for at home without the penny dropping. "Many like to label a two year old as being "exposed" if they've had more than three runs, but they're all different. "Even those like this lad who's highly thought of can take time to show their true colours and he's learnt his trade racing. "He's a fine type, big, sound and willing. He will improve further for this and we'll step him up now, possibly in the National Stakes (Vincent O'Brien Stakes) on the 15th of September. He'll be a nice prospect for next year."
