Jagoes seeks Powers glory Tom O'Leary has outlined plans for his stable stars Jagoes Mills and Preists Leap. The Co Cork trainer on Tuesday stated "Jagoes Mills is in good form. He runs in the Power Gold Cup at Fairyhouse and we're very happy with the rain that has fallen and two and a half miles should be perfect for him. He loves heavy ground and he'll get it at Fairyhouse." Regarding Jagoes Mills' defeat at Thurles on his latest run, to the Willie Mullins trained Kempes, O'Leary stated "we knew Kempes was very good before the race but I think Davy (Russell, Jagoes Mills' jockey) was calculating to beat An Cathaoir Mor and it played into Kempes' hands. I doubt if Davy would make the running again and also we only gave Jagoes Mills over two weeks between races - we'd look forward to taking Kempes on again!" O'Leary also had news on dual Thyestes winner Preists Leap. He stated "Preists Leap has no form this season but is a possible for the English National. I get plenty of advise from Davy Russell and I talked with him regarding Preists Leap going at Aintree. He said if the ground is good at Aintree, Preists Leap is a no-hoper but if they get a lot of rain, leave him in the race – he has a life in the race. Soft ground would be okay for him to take his chance although I'd love heavy ground."
