James doubles up in Limerick on No Cure A wall of three horses all held valid claims approaching the last in the Limerick Racecourse Vets Maiden Hurdle (In Memory Of Andrew McNamara) and it was No Cure (5/1) who forged on best to give Rob James a double. He was the least fluent of the three at the penultimate flight and had a bit of ground to make up on Genepi George and Just For One racing to the final obstacle, but he certainly came back for more. Upon touching down over the last, he soon led on the run-in from Just For One as Genepi George gave best in third. In the closing stages, he went on by a widening four-lengths for owner/trainer Gearoid O'Loughlin. Just For One finished second at 28/1 and he was two and a-half lengths in front of Genepi George (5/2). “He did it well. He’s always been a horse that we liked,” said O’Loughlin. “We point-to-point most of our young horses, but he was actually very hardy when we broke him and he’s not over-big so this is the route we went. “I thought it was a good run in Galway, in a bumper, but he ran too keen that day. “He had a nice run in Clonmel and we were happy to come here today. This race came up and it looked the obvious place. “He’s a horse that’s going to give someone a lot of fun. He’s a (half) brother to two good horses, Wade Out and Whatsupwithyou. Hopefully now, we can sell him on.” James was also successful aboard Its Bilbo (9/2) in the Listed handicap hurdle. Additional reporting by Gary Carson
