JOE BLAKE FOR DOWNPATRICK

Joe Blake, fourth in the Christies Foxhunters Chase at Cheltenham last year, could still make the line-up at this year`s Festival.

The Northern trained gelding missed an intended outing at Fairyhouse recently with a lung infection but Ian Ferguson is hopeful that his charge can run in the Franco Hughes Hunter Chase at Downpatrick next Wednesday.

`Joe Blake was on a course of antibiotics and appears to have come right again. He worked well today and I will run him next Wednesday all being well. If he is not right then he will miss Cheltenham, and I will probably look at the Aintree Festival in April,` said the County Antrim handler.
