Kearney at double aboard Baila Conmigo Prominent-racer Baila Conmigo (8/1) ground out victory in the Fairways Hotel Dundalk Apprentice Handicap to give jockey Jack Kearney a double on the card. From a tracking position, he led after three furlongs and kept on best in the final furlong to hold a staying-on Celtic Druid (9/2) by half a length. Mystic Rose was just over two lengths back in third at 20/1. Kearney said: "It was a very good performance. "Ciaran Murphy just told me to keep it simple from a nice draw and there wasn't anyone taking me along, so I let him roll away to the front. I got it easy in front, and I started building a long way out because I knew he doesn't have a turn of foot. He just galloped out through the line. "I think he is a grand progressing horse. I think he is very versatile ground-wise and trip-wise. A mile and a half seems to be a perfect fit now, but I can't see why he wouldn't stay further." Kearney also steered Stephen Thorne's Kerdos (17/2) home in the opening five-furlong handicap.
