Leopardstown Sun, 10th May, 2026  Halon Bay It was lovely. He has improved with every run. Luke (McAteer) gave him a super ride the last day. He got wide in Bellewstown and as a result he learned plenty. He was more streetwise today. With normal improvement, we didn’t expect him to win today but we expected him to run well. He got a strong ride from Ben, and he handled the ground really well. The penny started to drop two furlongs out. He ran a lovely race; he’s a nice horse. We were hoping he’d be able to win a maiden. He has that job done now and we’ll take it from there. He’s a big horse and time will do him good. He’ll get a mile-and-a-quarter.

Wexford Thu, 7th May, 2026  Wild Bill Hickok He was a horse that we knew as a young horse and we kept an eye on him. When he came up for sale we were in the mix for him. The owner (Patrick Sheanon) has backed me this year and it’s a pleasing result for him and a lovely start. I’m delighted. He was impressive and he couldn’t pull him up. We’re not getting carried away with that race as it fell away a bit, but he’s a nice prospect going forward. We bought him with the idea of going four-year-old chasing, that he would get the allowances. It’s starting to work out for us now. We had him as a young horse for Coolmore and Gerry Aherne had recommended him back to me, and that’s the way it worked out.
