Kempton and Bangor go ahead This afternoon's meeting at Kempton goes ahead after passing a second inspection. Clerk of the course Barney Clifford announced an initial inspection for 8am, but that check proved inconclusive. However, by the time of the second inspection at 10am, the temperature has risen and there was no frost in the ground. "The most important thing was the temperatures. It got down to minus 1C. It's now got back up to 2C," said Clifford. "It's still a bit crispy on top. We are going the right way and it should be fine in an hour's time. "It should get up to plus 4C or 5C. There is no frost in the ground." The going is described as good to soft, soft in places on the chase course and soft, good to soft in places on the hurdles course. This afternoon's meeting at Bangor will go ahead after the track passed a third inspection at 11.30am. Clerk of the course Andrew Morris did not anticipate any problems on Thursday, but was forced to announce an impromptu inspection for 8am earlier this morning following a much colder night than predicted at the Welsh circuit. Temperatures started to rise and Morris was keen to give the meeting every chance, but with a second inspection at 10am also inconclusive, he had another look at 11.30am. Morris said: "Racing goes ahead. "The temperature is now up to 4C, the sun is shining, so we're going forwards. "It should be a good afternoon of racing."
