Kempton raid for Blackstair Team Unika La Reconce will represent the same connections as Nakayama Grand Jump victor Blackstairmountain when she competes in a Listed Handicap Hurdle at Kempton Park tomorrow. The Willie Mullins' trained mare has been alotted joint top-weight of 131 for the 2m5f Novices' contest and that seems fair judged on her two Irish starts to date. She won well on her debut at Thurles in December and was unlucky not to add to that success when a last flight error cost her victory at Clonmel in February when stepped up in class. When she won at Thurles Willie Mullins indicated that her future would ultimately be over fences and said: "she is a fine big mare...that doesn't really have respect for hurdles." Unika La Reconce missed an intended engagement at Limerick on 7th April when the ground was adjudged to be too fast for her. Tomorrow's going is described as Good to Soft, Good in places which should be more to her liking.
