After saddling Nikki Swango to win in Dundalk yesterday evening, Natalia Lupini gave an update on her star filly Kitty Rose who is set to change hands.

The imposing daughter of Invincible Army created quite the impression in winning her maiden on debut at Naas last month before following up in the Listed Ingabelle Stakes at Leopardstown on opening day of Irish Champions Festival, after which the 1,000 Guineas was raised as a long-term target.

Lupini said: "That's the plan (Irish 1,000 Guineas).

"We are still in the process of getting her sold. We hope so (remain with her) - the owners have said she could stay with us.

"The new owners would like to give her another run but we'll see how she is, she is a big filly. At the same time we have to keep in mind that she would benefit from a winter break.

"She will do a bit of work at the weekend and is in good form, so we might see her before the end of the year."

Lupini also has Bleak Midwinter, an unraced daughter of Wootton Bassett, entered in the Irish 1,000 Guineas and she is expected to make her debut in the spring.

"Hopefully next year. She had a little setback and she is just not for Dundalk, we will wait until the spring," the trainer said.

"We bought her at Tattersalls last year in the yearling sales and her work at home is very good. She has been working very well and did everything very easily."
