Knot strikes again for Millar Staffordshire Knot proved too strong for his rivals to keep the flying form of Gordon Elliott going at Clonmel today. The Gigginstown gelding went to post a well supported 8/13 shot in the two-mile-six conditions event and was sent to the front before the straight by Carl Millar. He was asked for an effort before the final flight and galloped on well in the closing stages to post a convincing 10 length win over French Dynamite. The winner was following up on a handicap success at Punchestown just nine days ago. "It was a very nice performance and the ground was a big help,” said Millar. “There had been a morning inspection but I was almost hoping the rain kept coming! He lets himself down on heavy ground and enjoys the job again.  "He bounced out of his last race well and was in flying form at home. The class is all there, but maybe this year he is more mature and he thrives on that softer ground." (Quotes by Tom Weekes)
