Lashes on course for l'Opera

Kevin Manning believes Lush Lashes could be returning to her best form in time for the Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp on Sunday.

The five-year-old mare was put back in training with Jim Bolger in the summer after losing a Sea The Stars foal.

She was a triple Group One winner at three and was second in the Opera that season.

With two promising comeback runs under her belt within the last couple of months, Lush Lashes is giving the Bolger stable the right signs ahead of her trip to Paris.

"She progressed well from her first run to her last start and if she can make the same step again it would be very interesting," said Manning.

"I sat on her on Tuesday morning, she seems very well and is moving very well, so I'm very pleased with her.

"The ground is soft at the minute over there and there is a lot of rain forecast.

"It wouldn't be ideal, but everybody is in the same boat."
