Lead Kindly likely to continue on Graded route Trainer Sean Byrne is likely to try for more blacktype with Lead Kindly Light, after she ran a fine race to finish second in the Grade 2 Hilly Way Chase at Cork yesterday. Although no match for the winner Twinlight, the nine-year-old daughter of Beneficial ran a cracker to finish second at 66/1, just six lengths behind the winner. The four time winning chestnut, had Grade 2 winner Days Hotel eight and a half lengths behind her in third, while Grade 1 scorer Realt Dubh finished a disappointing fifth. Speaking this afternoon, Byrne said: "I was delighted with her, she ran great and she has come out of it well. She is a right jumper and she stayed at it well. "I think we will keep her on the graded route, but we will see, we are not dead sure yet. "She will probably go up a fair bit after yesterday, and she will be getting high then in the handicaps, so we might try and get more blacktype with her. “She’ll be a nice broodmare so we mightn’t go too long more with her.” Byrne also gave on update on Oilily, who has been retired, he said: “Oilily is retired now and she is in-foal to Presenting." Oilily was a great servant to Byrne’s yard, winning six times, including a Grade 3 hurdle at Tipperary back in October of 2010. She also finished second to Topolski in the Grade 2 John Smith's Top Novices' Hurdle at the Aintree Festival back in 2011, and had recent Tingle Creek victor Sire De Grugy six lengths behind her in third.
