A typically huge St.Stephen´s Day crowd is rolling through the turnstiles at Leopardstown today for a great days racing.

The ground is described as Soft to Heavy, and its very dull and overcast at the moment, with a threat of rain.

Despite the declarations for today being made last Friday 22nd, there are very few non-runners.

Mouse Morris´ Lord Alfred is the only withdrawal in the opening maiden hurdle. He was declared in error.

In the second maiden hurdle, there are two absentees - Border Graduate and Lovers Tiff. Both are reported lame.

Conna Castle is the only other withdrawal of the afternoon. Jimmy Mangan states his charge is lame.
