Just four line up but it is a competitive race and a case can be made for all runners, but the selection is Gavin Cromwell’s Je T’ai Porte. The seven-year-old has run in some competitive races, including this year's Grade 2 mares’ chase at the Cheltenham Festival, where she ran without a right-fore shoe at odds of 100-1. This is a much easier assignment, she is a good consistent jumper and does her best work in the spring. The quickening underfoot conditions won’t be an issue for her today. 6.08 - Jigoro Gordon Elliott's six-year-old looks poised to produce a strong performance on his second outing over fences. He made his chase debut back in November, and while ultimately unsuccessful in justifying his short price he still impressed in finishing second, 32 lengths ahead of the third. His jockey noted Jigoro had a tendency to jump to the left, which was understandable given his lack of experience and his jumping should improve. He warmed up for this with a good second over hurdles at Cork last month, and he holds an excellent chance of getting off the mark over fences. 8.08 Priory Park The final race at Limerick is a handicap chase over three miles and a furlong, and the JP McManus-owned Priory Park could have a big say towards the foot of the weights. Trained by Edward O’Grady, the nine-year-old has done most of his recent work in point-to- points, impressively securing four wins on the bounce at the end of last year before pulling up three times in a row. His latest run at Killarney lacked encouragement, but the return to a longer trip could be what the gelding needs to get back on track. He’ll also enjoy the added bonus of the in-form Darragh O’Keeffe taking the ride.
