Llewellyn Hoping For Clear Round Carl Llewellyn is hoping a clean round of jumping can see Redemption go close in Saturday´s Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury. Nigel Twiston-Davies´ 10-year-old hasn´t won since January 2004 but was travelling well towards the head affairs when falling two fences from home in the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham two weeks ago. 'He would have a good chance barring accidents,' Llewellyn told At The Races. Reflecting on the Paddy Power, he continued: 'I think he was going very well until he fell and he would have had a good chance of winning. 'He won impressively in a decent race a few years ago and that was the last time he won in fact, so hopefully he will remember.' Redemption´s last win over fences came in a competitive handicap on Hennessy day at Newbury two years ago, and his lack of winning form has allowed him to sneak into the handicap for this weekend´s Grade Three event on 10st 2lb. Llewellyn´s mount is generally available at 25-1, with Trabolgan the 4-1 market leader. The jockey added: 'Trabolgan is a worthy favourite but he is a short price. I think Comply Or Die and Kandjar D´Allier have got decent chances as well.' ? PA Sport
