Loder Considering Haydock Run

Goodricke, runner up in the Prix Maurice de Gheest, could now tackle next month´s William Hill Sprint Cup at Haydock.

The David Loder-trained three-year-old was only beaten a neck by Whipper in the Group One event over six and a half furlongs at Deauville last Sunday.

Goodricke, who was second in the International Stakes on his previous start, was having a first run at the highest level but Loder is likely to keep him in that sort of company for his next outing.

He told the Racing Post: 'He seems to be fine after the race and, subject to confirmation from Sheikh Mohammed, his next possible target could be the Haydock Park Sprint.

'We expected him to run well in Deauville and he didn´t disappoint us.'
