Trained by Natalia Lupini for Karen McMullen, Pass Me If You Can was a decisive winner of the opening five-furlong maiden at Dundalk.

After two reasonably encouraging runs here last month, the gelded son of Supremacy was third in the betting market at 11/2 and tracked the leaders under Wayne Lordan.

Lordan had to react quickly and switch his mount sharply to the left when front-runner This Guy moved across to stands' rail under two furlongs out

Ridden to lead a furlong out, the winner stretched clear to beat Dusty Rock by two and three quarter lengths with This Guy fading into third.

Sent off the 11/8 favourite, Spring Is Here never got competitive after a tardy start.

Assistant trainer Craig Bryson said: "First run was nice and Wayne thought that the second run, over six furlongs, maybe stretched him a wee bit.

"Back to five (furlongs) today and he breaks well, and he just improved again.

"He'll make into a nice sprint horse. That's only his third run, and hopefully he can be a bit of fun for the summer."
