Magical Memory aims to sparkle Leading sprinter Magical Memory will be Charlie Hills' main hope for glory at Royal Ascot. The four-year-old is ante-post favourite at around 5-1 for the Diamond Jubilee Stakes after progressing from winning the Stewards' Cup last summer and being placed in the Haydock Sprint Cup to winning the Abernant and Duke Of York Stakes this year. "Our Ascot team is taking shape and will be headed by Magical Memory in the Diamond Jubilee," the Lambourn trainer said. "He seems really well and did a nice bit of work on Saturday." Hills has a solid contender in Cotai Glory for the other Group One sprint for older horses, the King's Stand Stakes, next Tuesday. "Cotai Glory is in great form at home and will go for the King's Stand," said Hills "If the race had been tomorrow and not next Tuesday we would have been laughing because all this warm, dry weather would have made for perfect ground for him. "We've just got to hope they don't get too much rain between now and then." Hills is expecting to field plenty of runners at the Royal meeting, including Free Handicap winner Ibn Malik. "Ibn Malik will almost certainly go for the Jersey - he too is in good form at home and working well so we are happy at the moment," he said. "Of the two-year-olds, Battash will probably get entries in the Windsor Castle and the Norfolk. Barrington is likely to get entries in the Coventry and the Norfolk, and Magillen could possibly get an entry in the Chesham. "High Grounds is getting back on track and his third at Epsom was encouraging. "He didn't handle the preliminaries very well, nor the track, but Jamie Spencer was pleased with him. "If he comes out of the race well we may look at the Tercentenary for him at Ascot, as Jamie (Spencer) indicated a mile and a quarter is his trip at the moment. "Of the handicaps, Tanzeel and B Fifty Two are being aimed at the Wokingham, Heatstroke at the Wolferton and Gypsy Eyes and Doubly Motivated at the Sandringham."
