Tim Doyle's stable star Mallowney bids to clinch his third major prize since the turn of the year in the Normans Grove Chase at Fairyhouse on Tuesday.

Since rounding off last season with a handicap victory at the Punchestown Festival, the nine-year-old has taken his game to another level and has been hugely impressive in winning the Dan Moore Memorial Chase at this track and a Graded race at Naas on his last couple of appearances.

Doyle resisted the temptation to let his charge line up in the Queen Mother at the Cheltenham Festival, instead electing to prepare his charge for tomorrow's Grade Two feature before a return to Punchestown.

"He's in good form and everything has gone well since the last day," said the County Tipperary-based trainer.

"We've been very happy with him and I'd say the ground will be sticky, which will be fine for him.

"If all goes well tomorrow, the plan is to go on to Punchestown for the Champion Chase there. These two races have always been his two targets for the end of the season."

Mallowney faces just two opponents on the third and final day of Fairyhouse's Easter Festival.

Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh team up with the difficult to predict Twinlight, who won the Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas, but was a distant third behind Mallowney at Naas last time out.

The Tony Martin-trained Savello steps down in grade after finishing sixth in the Queen Mother at Cheltenham.

"He went to Cheltenham and made a bad mistake at the second fence. In a race like that his chance had gone, but he still ran respectably," said Martin.

"He seems to have come out of Cheltenham well, we're very happy with him and we're looking forward to running."
