Marionnaud at Newmarket tomorrow Dolores heads a field of nine fillies set to go to post for tomorrow's #80,000 Falmouth Stakes on day two of the Newmarket July meeting.Amanda Perrett's daughter of Danehill finished a fine fourth behind Kazzia and Snowfire in the Sagitta 1000 Guineas in May on what was only the second run of her career. She went on to win a Listed race at Goodwood before again showing Group One form, this time when third to Sophisticat and Zenda in the Coronation Stakes.Leading the opposition is Spring Star.The French raider is in the care of Carlos Laffon-Parias who is no stranger to success on these shores or indeed in this race.He sent out Keltos to land the Juddmonte Lockinge earlier this season and three years ago Ronda landed this Group Two contest.She came into the race on the back of victory in the Prix de Sandringham at Chantilly and Spring Star has followed the same route.John Dunlop saddles the progressive Night Shift filly Tashawak will be out to step up on her victory in a Royal Ascot handicap, while Marcus Tregoning runs Coronation Stakes fourth Misterah.Dunlop has another string to his bow in the shape of Kootenay, who was second to Mellow Park in the Lupe Stakes before beating another of tomorrow's runners, Mick Channon's Golden Silca, in a Listed race at Epsom.An Irish flavour is added by Jim Bolger's versatile Marionnaud, winner of an extended six-furlong handicap at the Curragh at the end of last month.The field is completed by John Gosden's Pretty Polly Stakes runner-up Disco Volante, and the Clive Brittain-trained Shiny.
