David Marnane expects in-form Freescape to spearhead his Dubai team.

The four-year-old gelding delivered by a length and a half at 12/1 over a mile in Dundalk on Friday, and now looks set to visit Meydan for the third year in a row.

Marnane said: “It looks like we have three now for Dubai.

“The original plan was to run Freescape again at Dundalk (on December 20) but he’ll go straight to Dubai now. We wanted to see him run a nice race to warrant going out to Dubai and he pretty much nailed that.

“He’s been out there for the last two years and to be fair he’s run better there than anywhere so he’s definitely going to go back.

“It was probably trainer error running him over shorter before as it looks like he stays every bit of the mile.

“I’m delighted for Denis McGettigan who is involved in him and would love to have a winner out there.

“Settle For Bay worked very well before racing at Dundalk on Friday, and he’ll run on the 20th (December) and we’ll see how he gets on.

“Alfredo Arcano will run at Dundalk on Friday (13th) over six and he’s likely to go to Dubai as well.”

Freescape has been placed in his last two visits to Dubai.
