Send Harry gave Evanna McCutcheon a welcome winner when making the breakthrough in the ‘70’ handicap over seven furlongs at Dundalk.

The Harry Angel gelding had been placed on his last three outings and went to post a 4/1 shot for today’s contest.

Patrick McGettigan had his mount prominent throughout and hit the front two furlongs from home for a three-parts-of-a-length win over Imperial Dream

When it was put to her that the horse deserved his success she said:- “We all deserved it.

“He’s very immature, he’s a next year horse. He’s a bit of a messer but he’s so genuine and he’s growing up every day.

“He has a great attitude. Patrick said he just lobbed away there upsides and he was very good, there is a lot more to come from him I think.

“He acts on the surface and is taking his racing well. He’s in a long time but we’ll let him tell us. We’re looking forward to next year with him anyway.”

It was McCutcheon’s first winner since Smallcraftwarning scored at Thurles in February 2024.
