Ado McGuinness registered a 1-2-3 in Bellewstown’s opening Meath Farm Machinery Claiming Race today, as his maiden Minaun View (5/1) led home a clean-sweep for the Group 1-winning trainer.

Unsuccessful in her previous 19 starts, Minaun View was drawn wide in 16 but was quickly away and made virtually all to score by a pair of half-lengths, from stablemates Gloriously Glam (4/1f) and fastest-finisher Lord Of The Giants (8/1).

McGuinness, who biggest success came in Longchamp's 2021 Prix de l'Abbaye, revealed "the three horses had good chances although I wasn't expecting that, so it was grand and it is great to get a winner down here.

"Minaun View had a lovely run, he (jockey Patrick McGettigan) was drawn wide but he got to the front so was able to settle it down on him. Fair play to him.

"She travelled well and she had only ran on Wednesday. She's solid but it is the first time she has won and we had to drop her back to this class to win. She had been running well in handicaps but was just not getting there. She wanted a little ease in the ground.

"If she is not claimed, we will roll away with her."

Both winner Minaun View and third-placed Land Of The Giants were subsequently the subject of ‘friendly’ claims by McGuinness while runner-up Glamourously Glam was claimed for €10,000 by the Lucky 15 Syndicate to be trained by Claire O’Connell and eighth-placed Je Suis Celebre €5,000 was claimed by trainer Eoin McCarthy.
