Meade looks to Christmas with Road to Respect Noel Meade has given an update on three of his stable stars with his recent Ladbrokes Champion Chase winner, at Down Royal, Road to Respect to be targeted at either Leopardstown or Kempton during Christmas. The Gigginstown House Stud owned eight year old claimed his second Ladbrokes Champion Chase win earlier this month, his fourth win at Grade 1 level and Meade stated “Road to Respect is fine and Christmas is still the plan, presumably at Leopardstown but he’s in the King George as well. “He came out of the race in Down Royal really well and it’s just a case of keeping him right and back in that shape again. It looks like we are going to have a wetter winter this year which will suit him a bit better. “I don’t know why Snow Falcon disappointed in the north, and I don’t agree with some people saying he didn’t stay. He travelled so well into the straight and stopped too quick. “We’ve had a few tests done on him and changed a few things and hopefully he’s come back. “I’m not sure where he will go. He’s in the John Durkan and it looks like being a mighty strong race so whether he’ll run in it or not I’m not sure. I’ll see how he is when we get closer. “Tout Est Permis was very disappointing because he was giving us all the right vibes before. Douvan was probably going to beat him anyway but he didn’t run his race. “We could find very little wrong with him and I’m just hoping that it was one of those days because he was more or less beaten straight away. “Sean felt he was going nowhere going to the second. Maybe it was a mistake to try and make the running with him — that may not have suited him but he didn’t jump as well as usual. “It’s possible the ground didn’t suit him as well.”
