Millstream Lady another winner for in-form duo at Killarney The Eric McNamara trained Millstream Lady stayed on strongly under Gary Noonan to land the Cinco Patricio's Handicap Hurdle at Killarney. Noonan, who had been amongst the winners earlier in the afternoon was completing a double on the card. Trainer McNamara has been enjoying a real purple patch of late also. Held up in mid division on the opening circuits, the 28/1 chance made headway to track the leading half dozen leaving the back straight for the final time. Coming through to head leader My Gaffer two out, the mare was quickly joined by Sequoiaspirit. The latter briefly edged ahead approaching the final flight but Millstream Lady rallied under Noonan to lead 150 yards out. Staying on best close home, the grey prevailed by half-a-length. Eric McNamara said: "She was very fit and well in herself but I thought the ground might be too good for her, as all her form is on softer ground. That was the only worry but for a small mare, she has climbed up the ratings and has won from a mark of 120 now. "I particularly like Gary when he rides over fences and while he does ride a bit for me and with Conor (McNamara, son) out injured, we chop and change our riders depending on who suits each horse and also use Calum (Hogan), Sean Flanagan and Dan King."
