Money for Murphy horses New Ross, County Wexford native Michael J M Murphy has been making waves in the apprentice ranks cross-channel and the 7Ib claimer rides three horses today that are appearing on one leading bookmakers 'steamers' page this morning. The first, Courageous has been supported from 10/1 into 13/2 for the opener at Bath, the Bathwick Tyres Tetbury Handicap. This six-year-old sprinter is trained by Milton Bradley. Murphy rides at Kempton later and his mount in the 6.20, Landesherr is now 11/2 from 15/2. This one goes in the Better Prices On Betfair Mobile Handicap (Betfair 10 Furlong Flat Series Qualifier) Division One. He is a German-bred son of Black Sam Bellamy and he is trained by Steve Gollings. Meanwhile in the 7.50 at Kempton, Murphy will get the leg-up on Poetic Belle for the Betfair Boosts Prize Money At Kempton Fillies' Nursery. Poetic Belle has been backed from 14s into 11s and she goes for Alan Jarvis. Murphy has three other fancied rides at Kempton as well, namely Roy's Legacy in the 5.50, Wise Venture in the 6.50 and Albonny in the 8.50. (EM)
