Moore Bids For Classic Triumph

Stan Moore will be hoping Satulagi can go one better than stable companion Traffic Guard in the UAE 1000 Guineas at Nad Al Sheba tomorrow.

The latter ran a fine race to finish second behind Dubai Racing Carnival sensation Asiatic Boy in the colts' equivalent last week and will be looking for more of the same from his smart filly.

Karl Burke's Precocious Star will also take her chance in a quality renewal of the dirt race, which also includes the Brazilian runner Greetings, a seven-furlong course winner, and South Africa's Indochine, a scorer on turf on the first night of the Carnival.

Throw in UAE debutantes Samba Reggae, trained by Ismail Mohammed and to be ridden by Frankie Dettori, and Desert Fight, who are Group One winners in Argentina and Chile respectively, and it looks a very competitive heat.

The main supporting race is a five-furlong conditions sprint on the dirt in which Dandy Nicholls saddles both Machinist and Tournedos, while David Barker's Celtic Mill will be ridden by Dettori.
