Morris Considering Attrition Options Mouse Morris is looking at new plans for War Of Attrition after deciding against running him at Gowran Park on Saturday. The six-year-old did not take up his entry in the Grade Two National Lottery Agent Champion Chase because the ground was unsuitably quick. 'Saturday had been the plan and now we are just waiting for softer ground,' said Morris. 'Punchestown is the next option later this month and then there?s the possibility of Down Royal after that in early November, but we need some rain. 'He might come across to England after that but I just wanted to get his first run out of the way.' War Of Attrition has not raced since winning the Grade One Swordlestown Cup Novice Chase at the Punchestown Festival in April. He is generally available at 25-1 for the totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup, but could be aimed at another race at the Festival. 'There?s the two-mile-five-furlong race at Cheltenham (the Daily Telegraph Festival Trophy) and that?s the one I?d be favouring at the moment. We?ll see how things go,' added the County Tipperary handler.(C) PA Sport
