Murphy does rain dance for Quito Quito De La Roque could bid for his third Grade 2 win over fences this season in the Hugh McMahon Memorial Novice Chase at Limerick on Sunday. Trainer Colm Murphy has been patiently waiting on an ease in the ground for the French-bred gelding, and an unsettled forecast this week is making it increasingly likely that the seven-year-old will turn out at Limerick. The Gigginstown-owned gelding boasts top class staying novice form having also run subsequent RSA Chase winner Bostons Angel to three-quarters of a length in the Grade 1 “Fort Leney” at Leopardstown after Christmas. “It all depends on the ground but there is every chance he could run at Limerick on Sunday as we've had some rain and there is more forecast. Aintree next week is another option, while the three mile novice at the Punchestown Festival is also in our plans if the ground is right,” said the Gorey trainer. The Limerick Grade 2 has attracted a total of 18 entries including the trio of Mr Cracker, Roi Du Mee and Tharawaat, which are also carry the famous Gigginstown colours. Alan Magee
