Murphy Targeting Wetherby Prize Scottish Grand National winner Joes Edge is set to reappear in the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby on Saturday week. Ferdy Murphy´s eight-year-old, who was last seen finishing runner-up behind Pay It Forward at the Punchestown Festival in April, is reported to be in good order after an encouraging gallop at Newcastle on Wednesday. And if the gelding catches the eye in the three-mile-one-furlong contest, Murphy revealed the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup at Newbury could then be on the agenda. 'Joes Edge goes for the bet365 Charlie Hall,' confirmed the North Yorkshire handler. 'He´s in good nick and has summered really well. 'He had a racecourse gallop at Newcastle and I´m happy with him and how he runs at Wetherby will influence where he goes afterwards. 'That will tell us whether we stay in handicaps or not. 'If he comes out of it well, then we´ll have a look at the Hennessy - but we´ll take it one race at a time. 'That´s how his owner likes it and it worked for the horse last year. It may be he´s a bit of a spring horse.'(C) PA Sport
