Mveve scores for O’Brien and McDonogh The 68-rated rated Mveve (13/8f) shed her maiden tag at the twelfth attempt at Dundalk today, landing the View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Fillies Maiden for trainer Joseph O’Brien, jockey Declan McDonogh and the Annus Mirabilis Syndicate. Previously placed twice, the daughter of American Pharoah was fitted with a visor for the first time. She raced with the leaders and, while strongly pressed in the final furlong, held on to score by a head from Laoise Eile. McDonogh, with his fifth winner of 2026, reported "The pace wasn't strong and I didn't want to light her up, so just left her nice and smooth outside the leader. I filled her with a bit of confidence, like a bit of work rather than go for her, and nursed her down the straight. "I just thought she was propping on the surface a little bit, and maybe she was just doing only enough also. "She was very comfortable at that mile which is probably a good trip for her. It’s good to get a bracket for her.” Quotes from Michael Graham
