The Raceday Stewards received a request from G.M. Lyons, trainer or Laoise Eile, to substitute the nominated rider Nicola Burns with G.F. Carroll, as Nicola Burns had received a last minute invitation to ride in Jebel Ali
Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards allowed the request on this occasion as they deemed this a valid excuse, as provided for under the provisions of Regulation 3
Zoe McMullan, rider of Nelliestar, trained by Thomas Patrick McGettigan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount was impeded to the left upon exit from the stalls, by the horse that was drawn to her right. Having viewed the recording of the race the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
