Nadia's Boy (6/5), trained by Willie Mullins for Mustafa Elatrash, put in a good round of jumping on his first run over flights to take the John J. Galvin Maiden Hurdle at Listowel.

A point-to-point winner for Aidan Fitzgerald at Ballysteen in April, the Getaway gelding had won a Kilbeggan bumper on stable debut in June.

Here, he made all the running and was slicker over his hurdles than market leader Frankie John who was five-and-a-half lengths adrift at the line as the winner scored comfortably.

Winning rider Paul Townend said: "I was impressed with him and especially with his jumping, which was like a handicapper. He was taking lengths out of his rivals everywhere so I think the addition of an obstacle in front of him has brought him on a long way.

"He quickened up nicely and then coasted home on the run-in. It was his jumping that I enjoyed and while I hadn't schooled him, I was told by the lads that he jumps well. He also came out of a good home (Aidan Fitzgerald) so has a lot of jumps jumped.

"Niall Flynn (breeder) doesn't miss too often either and you're giving yourself every chance when you get good stock like that."
