Navan announces new Troytown sponsor

Navan Racecourse have announced announce Bar One Racing as the title sponsor of the Troytown Chase in a five-year partnership.

The highlight of Navan's jump racing calendar, the Bar One Racing Troytown Handicap Chase will this year take place on Sunday, November 27 and, with the benefit of this new sponsorship, the race will have a total purse prize of €100,000 and will be broadcast live on RTÉ television and Racing TV.

Bar One Racing will also take over the bookmaker shop on track with a significant upgrade investment taking place prior to its re-opening on Sunday, November 13.

Founded by CEO Barney O'Hare, Bar One Racing has expanded from a family-run business, and currently employs more than 350 staff across the organisation including in its 53 shops in Ireland.

The Troytown joins Bar One Racing's portfolio of race sponsorships throughout the country.

Bar One Troytown Chase Day is one of the highlights of early jumps season, with over €200,000 in prize money on offer throughout the card. Along with a seven race card, there will be live music throughout the day with the full schedule of activities to be announced in the coming weeks.

Early bird tickets are currently on sale for €15 on www.navanracecourse.ie and there is limited corporate hospitality available in the Trackside Bar.
