Nephin eventually peaks Nephin Mountain (11/2) broke his duck at the eleventh time of asking in Ballinrobe's Download The Tote App Handicap, for trainer-owner Michael Mulvany and apprentice Terry Casey. The son of Supremacy was competing off a career-low mark today, and he was positioned in behind the pace before being produced up the rail with two furlongs to run. He hung off the bend when hitting the front, though, and did well to rally back up to score by a neck from Aquilla Star (12/1). Short-priced favourite Connova (5/6) found herself in rear after being slow to get into stride and finished a staying-on third. Trainer Michael Mulvany reported that, "He ran well at Leopardstown (in June), but I was a little disappointed with him the last day (at Down Royal on Friday). "This looked a weak enough race, so we said we'd throw him back in again. "He'll be too low (rating) to get into Galway, so we'll look for something else over a mile and a quarter or a mile and a half, maybe somewhere like Sligo might suit. "Terry is a good rider and was with me for a year and a half. "He was a little bit homesick (for Limerick), so he's a bit closer to home now with Danny Murphy on the Curragh.
