New book of Irish Racing photos launched Healy Racing Photographers of Listowel and Anglo Printers of Drogheda have launched a new book ‘Off to the Races 2010’ to benefit the Jockeys Accident Fund. The publication is a pictorial reflection upon the Racing year which has just passed through the photographic lens of Healy Racing Photographers. The book is produced in full colour throughout and boasts 176 pages with 365 stunning images, presented in a landscape format. Publisher Padraic Kierans of Anglo Printers said “The aim was to capture the atmosphere, fun and excitement which is experienced at each and every race meeting throughout Ireland and to savour that moment in time, which has been so expertly captured by the Healy team of Photographers.” ‘Off to the Races’ 2010 is a limited edition print run of only 500 copies, which has been produced in its entirety in Ireland. The book has been supported by the Irish Field, and editor Leo Powell sums up the atmosphere of the book wonderfully, “There is so much that is said in a photograph, yet no words are spoken. The impact of a good photograph is immeasurable. Yet we all seem to instinctively know when we see a classic picture. This book will stand the test of time, provide a rich source of enjoyment for the reader, and captures time and events that will evoke memories for ever.” The book has been produced to benefit the Jockeys Accident Fund in Ireland, which was set up for the benefit of jockeys/apprentices injured either in races or in the schooling of horses, and is administered by the Turf Club. ‘Off to the Races’ 2010 is priced at €20.00 (plus €2 P&P) and is available on-line from www.offtotheracesbook.com , the offices of the Turf Club at the Curragh, and from the offices of HRI, Ballymany, Co. Kildare. It may also be purchased directly from Healy Racing, Listowel, Co. Kerry or from Anglo Printers Ltd., Mell Industrial Estate, Drogheda, Co. Louth.
