No regrets from McCoy Jockey Tony McCoy has said he would not have done "anything different" on Denman despite being unseated from the horse in Saturday's Grade 2 Aon Chase. The 14-times champion jockey was riding the former Gold Cup winner for the first time at Newbury, but the partnership came to a premature end after Denman made a mess of the fourth-last and then unseated McCoy after blundering the third-last. "I've replayed the race loads of times and wouldn't have done anything different. I thought he was an easy enough ride until then," McCoy wrote in his column in Monday's Daily Telegraph. "I'm glad I've ridden him. He'll still be the second best horse lining up for the Gold Cup – if not the best should he reproduce his Hennessy form – and I'll go there looking forwards rather than backwards. "The worst has happened, it can only get better and, in a funny sort of way, it eases the pressure for the Gold Cup. All of that is now building on Kauto Star."
