O'Brien and Moore serve up quick-fire double via Flushing Meadows Flushing Meadows really hit his stride in the final furlong to bring up a double for Aidan O'Brien and Ryan Moore. The newcomer went off 5/2 for this debut run in a six-furlong maiden and raced prominently. He was second behind front-running Evening Blues at the halfway stage, and overwhelmed him a furlong and a-half down. Killourney Reigns was the danger as he was almost on terms inside the final furlong, however, Flushing Meadows rolled home in good style in the final 150 yards to go in by a length and a-half. The places were occupied by The Piper's Call (80/1) and North Coast (11/1) who both kept on with threatening the winner as Killourney Reigns weakened. “I’m delighted with him, he’s a lovely horse,” said O’Brien. “Again, he was never away and he’ll come forward loads. He’ll have no problem getting seven furlongs. “The reason those horses were here was in case they were Ascot horses. Ryan said he’s lovely, but that Ascot might be a little bit too quick for him and to give him a little bit of time. “He doesn’t have to step up in trip and he might come back here for the Railway.” O'Brien and Moore also teamed up with debutant Amadeus Mozart in the opener.
