O'Brien colts bypass King George

Aidan O`Brien has taken High Chaparral and Hawk Wing out of the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes at Ascot on July 27th at today`s forfeit stage.

The Ballydoyle trainer has other plans for the pair with English and Irish Derby hero High Chaparral being saved for an autumn campaign to include the Prix de l`Arc de Triomphe.

Hawk Wing is likely to stick to a mile and a quarter in the Juddmonte International Stakes at York next month following his victory in the Coral Eurobet Eclipse Stakes at Sandown last Saturday.

But O`Brien still has five horses in the £750,000 showpiece - the five-year-old Bach and four three-year-olds, Century City, Creekview, Della Francesca and Quarter Moon.

Godolphin are responsible for seven of the 25 horses to stand their ground.

They include Sakhee, winner of last season`s Arc, and Grandera, successful in the Singapore Airlines International Cup and the Prince of Wales`s Stakes at Royal Ascot
