O'Brien hopeful of Leger double Aidan O’Brien reports both Camelot and Fame And Glory in good form as the Ballydoyle maestro bids for a St Leger double with Camelot and Fame And Glory tomorrow. Camelot is hot-favourite to become the first Triple Crown winner of 2,000 Guineas, Derby and St Leger since Nijinsky 42 years ago when he faces eight rivals in the Ladbrokes St Leger at Doncaster, while Fame And Glory is also market leader in the Gain Horse Feeds Irish St Leger at the Curragh. Speaking on RTE Radio 1 this morning O’Brien said, “All has gone well with Camelot. He’s had a racecourse gallop since his last run in the Irish Derby but because of the weather we have not been able to do much work on grass. “My main worry would be the trip, and there is also a good line-up against him.” O’Brien and son Joseph will travel back from Doncaster to the Curragh by helicopter for the final Irish classic of the season, and the champion trainer is also hopeful of a good show from Fame And Glory. “Fame And Glory is that bit older and wiser, and we will probably ride him up with the pace. He was a bit disappointing last time at Royal Ascot and he needs a good even pace.”
