O`Brien Lands Group One Criterium

Aidan O'Brien's terrific record in two-year-old Group races continued in Paris on Saturday when Alberto Giacometti landed the Group One Criterium de Saint-Cloud.

The Sadler's Wells colt (11/10), partnered by Michael Kinane, was held up towards the rear before being hard ridden in the closing stages to win by a head from the English-trained Summerland.

O'Brien saddled four in the race, with The Great Gatsby, ridden by Kinane's Irish Jockey Championship rival Johnny Murtagh, best of the rest in fourth place.
