Michael O'Callaghan has the Eyrefield Stakes at Leopardstown in mind for his Punchestown winner Ocean Conquest.

A 200,000 pound breeze-up purchase, the son of Time Test made the breakthrough at the Co Kildare venue on his third career start, comfortably accounting for nine rivals by three-and-a-quarter lengths.

A step up in class is now on the cards for the John Kirkland-owned bay, with O'Callaghan commenting at Dundalk on Friday: "He may reappear in the Eyrefield, we will train him for it, but if the ground has gone very heavy we will put him away.

"Nine furlongs around Leopardstown if the ground was okay, we might let him take his chance.

"I think he is a nice horse and I think he will even go as far as a mile and a-half next year. I think he will stay well.

"No I don't (want to run him on very testing ground), I don't want to leave a mark on him before the winter."
